Reconstitution basics
How much water should you add?
There's no single correct amount. The bacteriostatic water you add sets the concentration — less water means smaller, harder-to-measure draws; more means larger, easier-to-read marks, up to your syringe or vial limit. Pick the amount that lands your dose somewhere you can read cleanly.
Common starting points
Concentrations shown for a 10 mg vial. Larger vials (e.g. 50 mg) are often reconstituted with 3–5 mL to keep the concentration workable.
More water is not more doses. A 10 mg vial holds 10 mg however you dilute it — water only changes the volume per dose, never the number of doses. Try your amount in the calculator above and confirm the mark before you commit.

Reconstitute the vial
Wipe both stoppers
Alcohol-swab the rubber top of the peptide vial and the bacteriostatic water vial — about five seconds each.
Draw the water
Pull your chosen amount of bacteriostatic water into a 3 mL mixing syringe, then insert the needle into the peptide vial.
Aim down the wall
Push the water in slowly against the inside glass — not straight onto the powder, which can damage the peptide.
Swirl, don't shake
Tilt and roll the vial gently until the liquid runs completely clear. Never shake it.
Date it, refrigerate it
Label the vial with today's date and store it in the fridge. Reconstituted peptides keep for only a limited window.
Draw & inject
Draw your dose
With a fresh 1 mL insulin syringe, swab the stopper and draw to the unit mark the calculator gave you. Tap out any air bubbles.
Swab, inject, dispose
Clean the injection site, inject subcutaneously, and drop the used syringe straight into the sharps container. One syringe, one use.
Single-use, every time. Never reuse or share a needle, and retire each one to the sharps container as soon as you're done. When anything is unclear, follow the guidance of your licensed provider.
